मूवी रिव्यू: ‘जीरो’ नकली बौने लगे शाहरूख

शाहरुख खान की मच अवेटेड फिल्म ज़ीरो आखिरकार सिनेमाघरों में रिलीज हो गई है। इस फिल्म में शाहरुख खान, अनुष्का शर्मा और कैटरीना कैफ मुख्य भूमिका में हैं। बॉक्स ऑफिस पर फिल्म की शुरुआत तो बहुत अच्छी हुई, लेकिन क्या वाकई ये फिल्म आपके लिए पैसा वसूल साबित होगी, आइए जानते हैं…

कहानी

फिल्म की कहानी मेरठ में रहने वाले एक बौने यानि वर्टिकली चैलेंज्ड बउआ सिंह की कहानी है। जो शादी के लिए लड़की तलाश रहा है। इसी दौरान उसे मेट्रीमोनियल सर्विस की मदद से एक फिजिकली चैलेंज्ड लड़की आफिया मिलती है, जो नासा की अंतरिक्ष वैज्ञानिक है और व्हील चेयर पर चलती है। बउआ और आफिया को प्यार हो जाता है और शादी तय हो जाती है। लेकिन बउआ शादी के दिन भाग जाता है, उस डांस कॉम्प्टीशन की खातिर जिसके जीतने पर उसे सुपरस्टार बबीता कुमारी (कटरीना कैफ) से मिलने का मौका मिलेगा। आनंद एल राय छोटे शहरों की सामान्य कहानियां उठाते हैं जिनका क्लाइमैक्स असामान्य और उतार चढ़ाव से भरा होता है। जीरो में भी यही देखने को मिला। बउआ दर्शकों को हंसाने में कोई कमी नहीं रखता। फिल्म के संवाद भी ताजे और प्रभावी लगते हैं। फर्स्ट हाफ सामान्य लव स्टोरी है, लेकिन सेकंड हाफ में बउआ का सीरियस और इमोशनल पक्ष सामने आता है।

अभिनय

शाहरुख खान फिल्म जीरो से एक बार फिर बेहद चैलेंजिंग रोल के साथ लौटे हैं और हमेशा कि तरह फिल्म में बौने के किरदार में होने के बावजूद एक स्टार की तरह चमक रहे हैं। शायद ही शाहरुख के लुक पर इतना काम उनके तीन दशक के करियर में कभी हुआ हो। फिल्म में उन्हें अपने रोल से चैलेंज दे रही हैं अनुष्का शर्मा। उनकी एक्टिंग शाहरुख पर भारी है। फिल्म में अनुष्का ने एक बार फिर से अपने बेहतरीन अभिनय को साबित कर दिखाया है। वहीं, कैटरीना कैफ की बात करें तो फिल्म में उन्हें 25 मिनट का रोल मिला है, लेकिन अपने इस रोल से उन्होंने भी अपनी अभिनय को साबित कर दिखाया है। आनंद जानते हैं कि स्टेडियम से गेंद को कैसे बाहर फेंका जाए, ठीक वैसा ही उन्होंने फिल्म में कैटरीना की भूमिका और चरित्र के साथ किया है। फिल्म के बाकी को सपोर्टिंग एक्टर ने अपनी बेहतरीन परफॉर्मेंस दी है।

निर्देशन

आनंद एल राय अपनी फिल्मों में जमीनी एहसास दिखाने के लिए जाने जाते है जो दर्शक इसके पहले काफी पसंद कर चुके है, लेकिन यहां आनंद का परिदृश्य थोड़ा बदल गया है। फिल्म का इंटरवेल से पहले वाला भाग इतना मजेदार है कि देखते हुए आपको लगेगा ये फिल्म कभी खत्म ही न हो, लेकिन फिल्म का दूसरा हिस्सा पहले से बिल्कुल उलट है और बोरिंग है। जिसे देखते हुए आपको एहसास होगा कि फिल्म लंबी ही होती जा रही हैं। फिल्म की एडिटिंग बहुत अच्छी है। फिल्म के कुछ सींस में वीएफएक्स पर ऐसा बेहतरीन कान किया गया है कि आपने पहले कभी ऐसा VFX का काम नहीं देखा होगा। फिल्म दूसरा भाग काफी लंबा है, जिसमें थोड़ा एडिटिंग करके कुछ फालतू सींस को कम करके 20 मिनट कम किया जा सकता था।

क्यों देखें

फिल्म में श्रीदेवी का कैमियो और कई बॉलीवुड स्टार्स का एक सीन में साथ नज़र आना, इसके अलावा सलमान खान और शाहरुख खान का एक साथ डांस करना, फिल्म में ये कई कड़िया ऐसी है जिसकी वजह से आप ये फिल्म एक बार तो जरूर देख सकते हैं। अगर अस वीकेंड आप कुछ नहीं कर रहे, तो अपनी फैमिली के साथ जाकर इस फिल्म को देख सकते हैं। फिल्म में कलाकारों की बेहतरीन और शानदार ऐक्टिंग को देखते हुए हम इस फिल्म को 3/5 स्टार  देते हैं।

मूवी रिव्यू: मनोरंजन का डबल डोज यानि ‘सिंबा’

इसमें कोई दो राय नहीं कि रोहित शेट्टी एक कंपलीट कलरफुल मनोरजंन फिल्म बनाने में महारत हासिल कर चुके हैं। उनकी इसी तरह की फिल्मों की श्रंखला की अगली फिल्म ‘ सिंबा’ अपने अलग क्लेवर, फ्रैश कास्टिंग तथा मनोरजंन के सारे मसालों के साथ एक बेहतरीन फिल्म साबित होती है।

फिल्म शिवगढ़ से शुरू होती है जहां से सिंघम शुरू हुई थी। शिवगढ़ का एक अनाथ बच्चा संगाम भालेराव यानि रणवीर सिंह सिंघम का फैन है जो बड़ा होकर उसकी की तरह बनना चाहता है बस फर्क इतना है कि वो पुलिस ऑफिसर बन कर जायज नाजायज तरीके से खूब सारा पैसा कमाना चाहता है। संग्राम यानि सिंबा रात को पढ़ाई कर अपने मकसद में कामयाब होकर दिखाता है यानि वो शिवगढ थाने का इंसपेक्टर बन अपनी शुरूआत करता ही है कि ऊपर से उसका तबादला गोवा के ऐसे इलाके में कर दिया जाता है जंहा उसकी नाजायज कमाई के दुगने चांस हैं। वहां उसे कैटरिंग का काम करने वाली उसी की तरह अनाथ लड़की शगुन यानि सारा अली खान मिलती है, जो उसे प्यार करने लगती है। इसके अलावा उसे एक ईमानदार हेड कांस्टेबल मोहिते यानि आशुतोष राणा तथा सब इंस्पेक्टर तावड़े यानि सिद्धार्थ जाधव जैसा साथी मिलता है और धुर्वा रानाडे यानि सोनू सूद भी है जो एक ऐसा पावरफुल शख्स जो हर तरह के गलत धंधे करता है, जो औरों की तरह सिंबा जैसे भ्रष्ट ऑफिसर का पैसो से मुंह बंद कर देता है। गोवा में अनाथ सिंबा को प्रेमिका के अलावा आकृती नामक एक सोशल लड़की बहन के रूप में मिलती है तो मोहिते की बेटी बहन और बीवी मां के रूप में मिलती है। सभी कुछ सही चल रहा है कि अचानक सिंबा को पता चलता है कि रानाडे के दो भाईयों ने न सिर्फ आकृति का बुरी तरह से बलात्कार किया बल्कि उसकी हत्या भी कर दी। इसके बाद सिंबा के भीतर का जांबाज ऑफिसर और एक भाई जागता है जो बलात्कारियों को उनके अंजाम तक पुहंचाने के अलावा रानाडे को भी जेल तक पहुंचाता है। यहां उसकी मदद उसके साथियों के अलावा सिंघम भी करता है।

रोहित शेट्टी की फिल्म यानि कॉमेडी, एक्शन,  म्यूजिक और नयनाभिराम लोकेशन। यहां भी ये सारी चीजें भरपूर मात्रा में मौजूद हैं जो पहले भाग में कॉमेडी मजाक मस्ती तथा म्यूजिक का डोज देती हैं इसके बाद लाजवाब एक्शन। बेशक फिल्म की कहानी पुरानी है लेकिन उसे इस तरह से पेश किया गया है कि वो अंत तक दर्शक की आंखों को चुधिंयाये रखती है। कसी हुई पटकथा, चटकारेदार संवाद और धमाल म्यूजिक जिसमें आंख मारे,तेरे बिन तथा आला रे आला जैसे फुल धिरकने वाले गाने है। जो फिल्म को एक कंपलीट मनोरंजक फिल्म बनाते हैं। फिल्म का क्लाईमेक्स फिल्म की तरह ही शानदार है।

रणवीर सिंह की शादी के बाद ये पहली फिल्म है दूसरे वो बाजीराव मस्तानी और पद्मावत जैसी विशाल फिल्मों के बाद एक बार फिर अलमस्त हीरो के तौर पर अपनी भूमिका में पूरे नंबरो से पास है। उसने सिंबा को मराठी एक्सेंट वाले ऐसे फनी बंदे के अंदाज में निभाया है जिसमें उसकी चाल ढाल, लुक, संवाद अदाईगी तथा जबरदस्त एक्शन दर्शक के सिर चढ़कर बोलता है। सारा अली खान की सही तौर पर केदारनाथ नहीं बल्कि ये डेब्यू फिल्म कहलाई होती  तो उसके लिये ज्यादा अच्छा होता, क्योंकि यहां वो हर तरह से एक नायिका के तौर पर फिट है। रणबीर के साथ उसके कमेस्ट्री बेहतरीन रही। सबसे बड़ी बात कि ये फिल्म उसे पूरी तरह हिन्दी फिल्मों में स्थापित करती है। जहां आशुतोष राणा ईमानदार कांस्टेबल के तौर पर प्रभावित करते हैं,वहीं सिद्धार्थ जाधव दर्शक का मनोरंजन करने में सफल है। फिल्म में सोनू सूद एक विशाल प्रभावशाली विलन के तौर पर उभर कर सामने आते हैं। बतौर गेस्ट सिंघम के तौर पर अजय देवगन अपनी एन्ट्री पर खूब तालीयां बटोरते हैं। अक्षय कुमार लास्ट में आकर इसी श्रंखला की अपनी फिल्म सूर्यवंशी एनांउस कर जाते हैं। एक गाने में गोलमाल की टीम तुषार कपूर, कुणाल खेमू, अरशद वारसी आदि भी नजर आते हैं।

अगर फिल्म के देखने की बात की जाये तो रोहित शेट्टी के दर्शकों को फिल्म में पहले से कहीं ज्यादा मनोरंजन का डोज मिलने वाला है।

मूवी रिव्यू: लीक से हटकर ‘खमियाजा’

रेटिंग**

हमारी फिल्मों में हीरो कितनी भी जटिल समस्याओं से घिरा हो, लेकिन आखिर में जीत उसी की होती है। लेखक निर्देशक दीक्षित कौल की फिल्म ‘ खमियाजा’ में ऐसा नहीं है बल्कि यहां तो कुछ भ्रष्ट लोगों की करतूत का खमियाजा एक निर्दोश आदमी को अपनी जान देकर चुकाना पड़ता है।

कहानी

लखनऊ का अनाथ नोजवान लेकिन पढ़ा लिखा अभिमन्यु यानि आलोक चतुर्वेदी एक कंपनी में सहायक मैनेजर के जॉब पर है। वो बड़ोदा की लड़की प्याली मुन्सी से प्यार करता है। प्याली के कहने पर वो बड़ोदा उसके पिता एहसान खान से मिलने आता है, लेकिन उसके पिता को उसके अनाथ होने पर भारी एतराज है। लिहाजा वे दोनों की शादी से इंन्कार कर देते हैं। रास्ते मैं अभिमन्यु एक पिटते हुये शख्स को बदमाशों से बचाता है। पता चलता है कि वो एक सोशल वर्कर  है जो शहर के मंत्री के खिलाफ कुछ करने जा रहा था लिहाजा मंत्री के कहने पर उसके बदमाश उसे मारने आये थे। बाद में मंत्री उस सोशल वर्कर को मारने का ठेका एक भ्रष्ट पुलिस ऑफिसर को दे देता है। वो पुलिस वाला सोशल वर्कर के साथ अभिमन्यु को भी शूट कर देता है, लेकिन अभिमन्यु मरता नहीं बल्कि उसकी पकड़ से भाग जाता है। बाद में जो भी अभिमन्यु की मदद करता हैं वो पुलिस वाले का शिकार बन जाता है। एक दिन ऐसा भी आता हैं जब मजबूर होकर अभिनयु आत्म सर्मपण कर देता है, इसके बाद वो पुलिस वाला भरी सड़क पर अभिमन्यु का एनकाउंटर कर देता है। इस प्रकार भ्रष्ट लोगों के चक्कर में एक निर्दोष शख्स मारा जाता है।

डायरेक्शन

निर्देशक ने लीक से हट कर ऐसी फिल्म बनाने की कोशिश की है जो नायक  को भी धरातल पर रखते हुये उसे आम आदमी की तरह ही ट्रीट करती है और अंत में वो हालातो का शिकार हो जाता है। फिल्म का ट्रीटमेंन्ट तथा कन्टेंट अच्छा है, पटकथा भी ठीक रही। फिल्म की कहानी के अनुसार ही फिल्म का संगीत है।

अभिनय

अभिनय की बात की जाये तो तकरीबन सभी कलाकार नये हैं। हालांकि मंत्री का किरदार और पिता की भूमिका में जाने पहचाने चेहरे हैं लेकिन बाकी सभी नये है। अभिमन्यु के किरदार में आर्टिस्ट बिलकुल फिट बैठता है। नायिका के किरदार भिने वाली अदाकरा भी ठीक रही। बाकी सहयोगी कलाकरों का सहयोग उल्लेखनीय रहा।

क्यों देखें

लीक से हटकर कुछ नया देखने वाले दर्शकों को फिल्म निराश नहीं करेगी।

रूही सिंह ने हॉट बिकिनी पहन करवाया फोटोशूट, साफ दिखा किलर फिगर

बॉलीवुड एक्ट्रेस रूही सिंह अकसर अपने बोल्ड लुक को लेकर सुर्खियों में बनी रहती है।  लोग उनकी सेक्सी अदाओ के दीवाने है। रूही की तस्वीरे  हमेशा सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हो जाती है।

हाल ही में फिर एक बार रूही की कुछ तस्वीरें सामने आई है। दरअसल रूही ने अपनी हॉट तस्वीरें अपने इंस्टाग्राम पर अपने फैंस के साथ शेयर कि है। शेयर की गई तस्वीर में रूहू बिकिनी पहने नजर आ रही है। जिसमें वह बेहद सेक्सी लग रही है। तस्वीरों में रूही का  सेक्सी फइगर साफ नजर आ रहा है। फैंस को  रूही की तस्वीरें बेहद पसंद आ रही है।  तस्वीरों के पोस्ट होते ही यह सोशल मीडिया पर तेजी से वायरल हो गई है।

बता दें की रूही ने साल 2015 में मधुर भंडारकर की फिल्म कैलेंडर गर्ल्स के साथ बॉलीवुड में एंट्री की थी। रूही एक एक्ट्रेस और मॉडल होने के साथ-साथ पूर्व मिस इंडिया भी रह चुकी हैं। रूही सोशल मीडिया पर काफी एक्टिव भी रहती है। उनका अकाउंट उनकी बोल्ड तस्वीरों से भरा हुआ है। सोशल मीडिया पर रूही की जबरदस्त फैन फॉलोइंग है।

फिल्म ‘द एक्सीडेंटल प्राइम मिनिस्टर’ के ट्रेलर पर नहीं लगेगी रोक

फिल्म पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह के पूर्व मीडिया सलाहकार संजय बारू कि किताब ‘द एक्सीडेंटल प्राइम मिनिस्टर’ पर आधारित है। ‘द एक्सीडेंटल प्राइम मिनिस्टर’ में मनमोहन सिंह के किरदार में अनुपम खेर और संजय बारू के किरदार में अक्षय खन्ना हैं। फिल्म शुक्रवार को रिलीज होगी। वकील मैत्री ने कहा कि फिल्म के निर्माताओं ने कलाकारों द्वारा मनमोहन सिंह, कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी और उनकी मां सोनिया गांधी की जिंदगी, उनके तौर-तरीकों और आवाज को प्रस्तुत करने को लेकर इन तीनों से कोई सहमति नहीं ली।

फिल्मों के लिए ‘अनापत्ति प्रमाणपत्र (एनओसी)’ की आवश्यकता होती है

याचिकाकर्ता ने कहा कि केंद्रीय फिल्म प्रमाणन बोर्ड (सीबीएफसी) के अनुसार, वास्तविक जीवन के चरित्रों पर आधारित फिल्मों के लिए ‘अनापत्ति प्रमाणपत्र (एनओसी)’ की आवश्यकता होती है, लेकिन ट्रेलर के लिए ऐसा कोई अनापत्ति प्रमाण पत्र प्राप्त नहीं किया गया। याचिका में महाजन ने अदालत से केंद्र, गूगल, यूट्यूब और सीबीएफसी को निर्देश जारी करने का अनुरोध किया था ताकि ट्रेलर को प्रदर्शित होने से रोकने के लिए कदम उठाया जा सके।

Harsh Tandon (Jaaved Jaaferi) is a successful businessman who lives only for work. He is cajoled by his wife Shalini (Niki Aneja Walia) into taking a vacation to which he says no initially but later, at the advise of his psychiatrist says yes as he has been having trouble sleeping and has been seeing visions. The family, comprising daughter Tanu (Meenakshi Dixit), son Sam (Rishab Chadha), Tanu’s boyfriend Rahul (Karan Anand) as well as both parents decide to undertake a road trip. On the way to Nainital from Lucknow, they take a detour which proves dangerous as they encounter supernatural elements bent on destroying them...

Director Prabhuraj has hit upon the right idea -- that of an American ‘cabin in the woods’ slasher film -- but fails to give it the required touches. First of all, the body count is too low. Only two people die. That’s hardly the point of a horror film. Then, the deaths aren’t gruesome enough. We don’t get a shiver down our spines when they occur. The ghosts -- whether it’s the little girl or her mom aren’t fear-inducing either. They both look like the makeup dada has applied much talcum powder and has overdone the mascara. The theme -- that of karma biting people in the bum one fine day is as old as the hills as well. In his frenzy to whip up horror, Prabhuraj has piled on jump cuts aplenty and has used high pitched eerie music -- which too doesn’t work after a while. It would have been fun if the family turned on each other and started hacking one another -- there were enough sharp-looking instruments lying around the outhouse in which they take shelter but sadly such things don’t happen. Weird is the key to successful horror or suspense is the answer but here both elements are missing. The films starts off as a horror film but sadly finishes as a moralistic tale.

Vijay Raaz has been taken just to wear oversized coats and look mysterious -- which he manages to do with plenty of conviction -- otherwise his character has zero say in the story. Jaaved Jaaferi has of late made made a name in comedy and playing a character having grey shades must have come as a challenge for him. He looks fitter than both his son and future son-in-law in the film and tries gamely to rise himself above the shambolic proceedings. Rishab Chadha’s character -- that of a youngster who likes to play pranks -- had the most potential but is sadly not explored fully. 

All-in-all, Lupt could have offered us so much more but falls short of its promise...

Jack (Amit Sadh), a slacker who is a wannabe writer of detective novels is hired by Walia (Arbaaz Khan) to spy on his wife Shilpa (Sonal Chauhan) whom he suspects of having an affair. Things go out of hand when Jack ends up falling in love with his client's wife, leading to many complications. 

The above premise looks good on paper. It's someone's idea of a French comedy coming to life in India. But alas, the execution falls way short. The writer, director and everyone else involved don't know what they are making. Arbaaz is a millionaire with a garage full of cars and yet his wife takes a rickshaw every time she goes out. Arbaaz Khan, who only wants a reconciliation to save his business has a sudden change of heart towards the end. Amit Sadh wants to run the Goa marathon to showcase his love for Sonal Chauhan. You don't know whether to laugh or cry at such happenings. 

The cinematography, editing, even music are strictly average fare. The writing, as said earlier, is in total shambles. Evelyn Sharma's character seems to be unnecessarily added. Amit Sadh is a decent enough actor and one wonders what made him sign this chaotic film. It’s not going to do anything to his career for sure. Arbaaz Khan has oodles of experience. Being a producer himself, one expects him to say no to such inadequate products. Sonal Chauhan spouts nonsensical lines about love with a straight face. Don't actors question their directors anymore?

Summing up, this supposed love triangle doesn't have passion, much less anything else. Looks like everyone had a paid vacation in Goa and came back happy, but forgot to shoot a film in the process...

Kaashi Chaudhary (Sharman Joshi) is a Dom, ie someone who lights up funeral pyres for a living in Benaras. He loves his sister Ganga (Priyanka Singh) very much. A journalist, Devina (Aishwarya Devan) gets in touch with him as she wants someone to show her around real Benaras. They get close over time and that’s when Ganga goes missing. Kaashi learns that Ganga was in love with the son of a local political bigwig (Govind Namdev) and may have run off with the guy. He goes to Mussoorie searching for them and in a fit of rage, kills the guy. But Ganga is still missing and it maybe that Kaashi has been dealing with a deeper conspiracy than he could have imagined...

The film is a psychological thriller containing many layers and if everything was executed properly it could have turned out to be quite entertaining. But slipshod execution has marred it’s prospects. The script is all over the place and defies logic. The director has tried to make a realistic film but what comes across is pure fantasy. The long-drawn courtroom drama in the second half is bizarre to say the least. The characters stereotypical and caricaturish. The hero has a 30 year old scooter named Ram Pyari. He’s surrounded by slackers who loiter near the ghats all day. His main rival is another Dom who smuggles dope on the side. The prosecution lawyer eats paan even inside the courtroom, the upper caste inspector likes to beat up low caste criminals. Benaras itself has been made out to be a city full of dirty by-lanes with housing badly needing a fresh coat of paint. Even the lavish Ganga aarti has been shot in such a way that it loses all it’s glamour. The revenge part of the saga comes out as unintentionally funny. Perhaps better editing could have salvaged something. The film could have started off with the court case and narrated to us in a series of flashbacks. The film deals with the sensitive issues of mental health, as well as caste based intolerance in passing and one wishes more time was devoted to both the topics and they were treated with more care and concern. 

Psychological thrillers need to grip you from the word go but this one just doesn’t. Whatever steam that it builds up soon fizzles out. There are too many unnecessary songs in the film which hamper the pace. One’s heart goes out to Sharman Joshi who has to struggle to make sense of the film’s outlandish plot and essay his character with a straight face. He’s one of our better actors and shouldn’t have said yes to such a flawed film. The same goes for newcomer Aishwarya Devan as well, who should have started off her innings on a a better wicket than this.

Girdhari Lal Sharma (Sanjay Mishra) is an impoverished pandit in Mathura specialising in reciting stories of Krishna but has been falling short of an audience of late. He despairs of getting his daughter Radha (Kajal Jain) married. Kajal is betrothed to Gopal (Mahesh Sharma) but the marriage has been stalled for two years because of lack of funds. One day, out of sheer pique, Radha's grandfather (Sitaram Panchal) who is partly invalid, puts forward twenty first as the date of marriage. With only twenty days left, the only solution that Panditji can think of is to get his IAS aspirant son Banwari (Chandrachoor Rai) get married first and get the daughter married with the money he gets as dowry. The plans go awry when the son actually passes and is in line for being a collector. Now the father is greedy for more dowry and a comedy of errors ensues as he takes drastic measures to stop his son's wedding. 


The film is a well-meaning critique on the Indian arranged marriage system. It's heart is in the right place but everything else is all over the place. It's one of the most badly edited films around. Scenes look to be hastily pieced  together. The screenplay needs several rewrites as well. What could have been a product saying something concrete against the dowry system comes across as a damp squib in the end. It doesn't work purely as a comedy as well. The situations are so unintentionally absurd that you end up bemoaning the lack of collective wit amongst everyone involved.

Sanjay Mishra, Brijendra Kala and even Sitaram Panchal (who passed away due to cancer) are all professionals and do try to engage your attention with their histrionics. Panchal in particular is a hoot as a grandfather with anger issues. But it's a losing battle -- as even at 97 minutes the film seems far too long...
